Minneapolis-based Travel Labs joins Beta.MN and raises $500,000.

Travel Labs is the creator of an artificial intelligence platform intended to make business travel easier. They are also the creator of a travel application called Tempore, which helps provide business travelers with a reimagined experience.

Travel Labs is intended to mimic the role of an executive assistant using artificial intelligence to book flights, manage receipts, and provide other support services to travelers. In the company’s press release, CEO Parker Schlank stated: “Our thesis is that business travel is patterned, and thus predictable.  We believe by harnessing the power of user data, we can completely eliminate the need to book trips altogether.”

According to their Linkedin page, Travel Labs received $500,000 in early November. The company did not disclose the angels involved, but did describe their round as being over-subscribed.

Parker Schlank, the CEO, is a veteran of the travel industry, having spent nearly ten years at Travel Leaders Corporate in Minneapolis.

Beta.MN runs a series of programs intended to help companies accelerate their sales and improve their marketing. Travel Labs is part of their fall cohort – along with eleven other companies. Beta.MN does a Showcase event at the end of the cohort where visitors get an opportunity to interact with the entire class.
