Newsletter, September 2 – Q2 Update

Hey, everyone. It’s Ben again.

Summer is a time of state fairs, fire pits and realizing you may have to budget for more Red Bulls on your seven-hour road trip to St. Louis. (Who knew seven hours could be that long?)

According to Invest Nebraska Investment Associate Ben Hohensee, summer is also a time when venture capital deals tend to slow down due to founders and investors taking time off themselves.

SPN reached out to Invest Nebraska to gather a list of VC deals that occurred in Nebraska during the second quarter of this year. We compiled a list of 14 deals based on data from the nonprofit venture development organization, as well as numbers pulled from the financial market database PitchBook.

Check out the story here on SPN. It’s the perfect read at your next rest stop.

Also, while I have you, SPN is approaching the end of its current rotation of Prairie Portrait profiles. This is our weekly series where we highlight and share the insights of founders, founders and community leaders in the Nebraska startup ecosystem.

If interested in participating yourself, or if you know someone who would be a great candidate, fill out the following form. Let’s showcase the people behind the pitch decks and LinkedIn profiles.
