We’re excited to pass along the announcement of next year’s Young Professionals Summit keynote speaker: Newark, New Jersey Mayor Cory Booker (photo from twitter.com/corybooker).
Earlier today, the Greater Omaha Young Professionals group, the section of the Greater Omaha Chamber responsible for the Summit, broke the news on their Twitter account, see: twitter.com/omahayp.
Next year’s Summit will take place Thursday, March 3rd at Qwest Center Omaha. The theme of the all-day event is “From I to We: Changing the Conversation.” With this theme, the Chamber is inviting young professionals to learn how to contribute to Omaha collaboratively.
Here’s a portion of Booker’s bio which resonates with the theme of the Summit. From the City of Newark, New Jersey’s website (ci.newark.nj.us):

Elected with a clear mandate for change, Mayor Booker has begun work on realizing a bold vision for the city. Newark’s mission is to set a national standard for urban transformation by marshalling its resources to achieve security, economic abundance and an environment that is nurturing and empowering for individuals and families.
Having Booker in Omaha for the event will be a wonderful opportunity to share his inspiration and experiences of reshaping a community at the grassroots level.
As the event approaches next March, we’ll have additional information and details. In the meantime, learn more about the Summit at omahayoungprofessionals.org/ypsummit and follow Booker on Twitter, @CoryBooker.
