The deadline is fast approaching for round one of our upcoming Creative Capital Pitch Session. Entries for this round, which include a 60 second video pitch submitted via YouTube, close at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, January 19.

The submission form can be found at siliconprairienews.com/submit-pitch, and an FAQ is located in our announcement post about the competition, Creative Capital Pitch Session heads to Des Moines January 28.

Here are the three rounds of the Creative Capital Pitch Session:

Round One

Record and upload a one-minute video pitch of your idea to YouTube and complete the submission form by 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, January 19. Eight contestants will be notified of their acceptance the following day, Wednesday, January 20.

Round Two

January 28 at Dos Rios (316 Court Avenue), each contestant receives five minutes to pitch the panel of three judges and audience in attendance. (Doors open at 6 p.m., competition begins at 6:30 p.m.)

Round Three

(Also January 28 at Dos Rios) The panel of judges choose three finalists, conducts a judge-finalist Q&A, and lastly, the audience votes to determine the winner. The winner is awarded a $1,000 check, no strings attached, and a “winner badge” to display on their website. Contestants receive a “participation badge.”
