Thursday, September 9, 6:30-8 p.m. – Omaha Startup Drinks

Nomad Lounge (1023 Jones Street)

Presented by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce:

Please join us for some beverages and to discuss new ventures in Omaha – whether that be your own or a new friend’s.

Two tidbits: Did you know that two “funds” closed in the month of August? More than $20 million was raised by two local venture capital funds both focusing on information technology related new ventures. Did you know that five companies have raised more than $1 million in risk capital from Omaha over the last eight months? Things are starting to pick up on the Prairie – this is a perfect opportunity and venue to learn more in a casual environment.

Never been to Startup Drinks and want to know what it’s about? According to startupdrinks.com it is a national program that helps build the startup culture in cities around world. The program holds events (typically over coffee or spirits) where people can discuss what they are working on, what they need help with and what they can do to help others.
