In the spirit of Global Entreprenuership Week, we’re throwing a party — a BIG party — and inviting the Kansas City startup community to join in the fun. We have something big to announce, so make sure to be there and among the first to know. We’ll be in the Wine Vault at Coal Vines with complimentary pizza and appetizers, so arrive early to share a meal with us, play a round of Jumbo Jenga and hear our big announcement.

BIG IDEA is a University-wide elevator pitch competition to promote innovation and entrepreneurship. The contest rewards those ideas for new products or services that show the greatest potential to improve lives and succeed in the marketplace. Ideas will be evaluated on their technical feasibility, market potential and social impact.

ICAN Men’s Leadership Exchange Forum – Tuesday, 7 a.m.-noon

Omaha – Creighton University, Harper Center (2500 California Plaza)

ICAN Men’s Leadership Exchange, in partnership with Salesforce.com and Creighton University, are hosting the first annual half day conference for men. This half day forum is the culmination of a series of conversations held by the Men’s Leadership Exchange throughout the year on “Social Enterprise”, and will be the launching point for continuing the 2013 leadership discussion.

1MillionCups: Crowd Prospectus and Sock 101  – Wednesday, 9 a.m.

The Technology Association of Iowa will present the fifth annual DuPont Pioneer Iowa Women of Innovation event at the Des Moines Marriott Downtown. The Iowa Women of Innovation is an awards presentation that elevates and celebrates today’s extraordinary women. The event will be dedicated to recognizing women who are leaders in science, technology, engineering or math.
