I hope to see you at BarCamp Omaha this weekend. Here are just a few last minute items from BarCampOmaha.org and SPN.

  • Tickets are sold out. A tickets gets you the sweet stuff (drinks, T-shirt, lunch, etc.), but if you’re curious about what’s going on at BarCamp, please stop on down, the doors will be open.
  • Please use the hashtag #bco2009 in your tweets. There will be a projector screen with a #bco2009 Twitter feed at the event venue, Nomad Lounge.
  • The schedule:

Friday Night

  • Easy peasy: Party starts at 7:00pm, goes until Nomad closes (1:00am)

Saturday

  • 8:00 – 9:30 Breakfast
  • 8:00 – 9:00 Speaker sign-up
  • 9:30 – 12:00 Presentations
  • 12:00 – 1:00 Lunch
  • 1:00 – 4:00 Presentations
  • 4:00 – 7:00 Go get some dinner!
  • 7:00 – ? Keep the party going at Nomad!
  • How to signup for a talk:
  • Signup for talks will be from 8:00 – 8:45 on Saturday
  • Figure 25 minutes for your talk.
  • Projectors will be available. That doesn’t mean you need to use it. :)
  • Powerpoint is ok. Really. Just try to keep it simple and awesome.

I hope you’re able to meet some of the new contributors, Aaron Onken and Adam Templeton, as well as Michael Rameriz, who will be shooting video all weekend, and Erin Sarmiento, our marketing / public relations intern.

Also, I’d like to give a big thank you to the organizers of this event. I expect it to be another memorable BarCamp, just like the first. The planners are: Eric Downs of DownsDesign, Matt Secoske of nimblelogic, Megan Hunt of Princess Lasertron, Dusty Davidson of BrightMix, and Jeff Slobotski of SPN.
