This week the Silicon Prairie News crew will be out and about participating in a few activities on the Silicon Prairie. One event which I’ll personally not only be attending but will have the privilege to speak at is the annual Association of Information Technology (AITP) Holiday Party this Thursday, December 16th at 5:30 p.m.

Here’s a description of AITP, from their website, aitpomaha.com:

AITP is the professional association comprised of career minded individuals who seek to expand their potential – employers, employees, managers, programmers, and many others. The organization seeks to provide avenues for all their members to be teachers as well as students and to make contacts with other members in the Information Systems field, all in an effort to become more marketable in rapidly changing, technological careers.

The cost for party is $25 for AITP members, $20 for AITP student members, and $27 for guests. It will take place at Dave & Buster’s (2502 South 133rd Plaza). You can register at aitpomaha.com.

If not at Dave & Buster’s on Thursday, we look forward to seeing you out and about over the next few weeks during the holiday season!
