An idea that jokingly turned into a tech challenge back in March 2010, the Startup bus stopped in at Kauffman Labs in Kansas City while en route to South by Southwest Interactive. StartupBus, the idea that coined the word “Buspreneurs,” is an all-out 48-hour challenge to build a minimum viable product, but there’s a twist: the tech entrepreneurs are squeezed into a bus while they work their magic. Hence, Buspreneur.
I had a chance to meet up with Karolis Karalevicius, StartupBus Chicago coordinator, and Dale J Stephen, team UnCollege, to hear about their Startup Bus experience.

In addition to meeting Karalevicius and Stephen, Event Baker – one of the products being built on Startup Bus – took time out to chat about their startup. Below is Ahman describing the idea behind Event Baker.
