Next spring Vault will relocate to the second story of Geonetric’s building in New Bohemia.

Last week Vault announced that come spring 2014, its coworking and collaboration space will relocate to a new home. Just in time for the company’s second birthday celebration, the coworking space will partner with health care software company Geonetric to create a space for creatives and tech startups alike in Iowa’s Creative Corridor.

“Vault is an amazing gathering place for entrepreneurs, thinkers, dreamers and creative professionals that provides a unique opportunity for collaboration,” said Geonetric’s president and CEO Eric Engelmann. “It has already launched some incredible startups, and this will add fuel to the fire in our community. We’re aiming to launch 100 or more startups in the next few years.”

Vault will be housed on the second story of Geonetric’s new building, and organizers for both groups say the hope is to have more than 200 people working in the collaborative space by 2015.

“This idea of placing dense groups of smart, creative people from multiple companies in one building with shared common areas is being done all around the country with great success,” Amanda Styron, CEO of Vault and co-founder of Seed Here, said in a press release. “Vault and Geonetric will be the first in the Corridor to build such a large creative community in one place.”

The new $5.5 million building, which is slated to break ground this summer, will be located at the site of the former Iowa Steel plant in Cedar Rapid’s New Bohemia district. Vault currently is located on the fifth floor of the Guaranty Bank Building.
