Earlier this week, Wendy Townley, who we recently interviewed about her Big Omaha case study, notified me that nominations for the 2010 Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards (OEA Awards) have been extended. The deadline for the public to submit nominations is now Monday, September 14th, originally the 7th.
Wendy, a board member of the organization, shared with me their goal of recognizing local artists, from those holding concerts in night clubs to those creating pieces of public art.
This is a unique event, and just as I’ve encouraged you to submit a proposal to present at the YP Summit or Infotec 2010, I encourage you to nominate your favorite artists. You can do so at oea-awards.com/?page_id=3, and here’s more information about the organization from their About page:

History
January 4, 2007, marked the inaugural year for the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards. After months of collaboration and planning, the first show was hosted at the Holland Performing Arts Center in downtown Omaha. Filled nearly to capacity, the center hosted people connected with the Omaha entertainment industry.
