Did you know that, once upon a time, our very own managing editor was the leading tackler on the New Ulm, (Minn.) Cathedral High School football team? Or that said editor’s uncle once kicked a 39-yard, game-winning field goal for the Iowa State football team? Or that another of his uncles could throw a football over them mountains?
OK, so maybe only two of those statements are true. But hopefully you get the point: episode No. 108 of the Weekly Wrap-Up turned, for a brief but glorious moment, into an ode to the athleticism of Danny, who co-hosted — or co-quarterbacked, as it were — this week’s show with Dusty.
