Forbes revealed its annual “30 Under 30” feature today, naming Ben Milne, the co-founder and CEO of Des Moines-based Dwolla, to its list for the finance field. In all, 360 “disrupters” across 12 fields, such as media, technology and art, were given recognition for their efforts to “(make) a difference right now.”
This recognition comes just days after Milne took the stage at a Des Moines music venue to unveil Dwolla’s biggest feature release to date, Instant. That release garnered coverage from Forbes, as well.

- Matt Mullenweg of Automattic (Big Omaha 2010)
- Leila Janah of Samasource (Big Omaha 2011)
- Ben Silbermann of Pinterest (Thinc Iowa 2011), who’s also a Des Moines native
