Silicon Prairie News: You founded CRi in 1999. What are you most proud of in regard to the business you’ve built in the last 13 years?

Sue Thaden: It really has been the people along the way, the teammates and clients that we’ve been able to work with and the impact we’ve all had on each other from a personal and professional growth perspective.

SPN: You serve on the Board of Directors for TechServe Alliance (TSA), are a member of the Omaha Economic Development Council and serve on the Board of Directors with the Omaha Chamber of Commerce. When do you sleep?

ST: We’re all busy, and passion fuels everything, if you’re aligned with what you enjoy, that stuff doesn’t phase you. Passion is a big fuel for me.

SPN: Everyone is making a push into mobile. CRi is certainly no exception. How are you setting yourself apart from the competition?

ST: This is a continuation of what we have done for the past 12 years: We align technology with corporate goals.  We try to sit down with companies and find out “What are you trying to get done?” It’s that customer experience where we are really allowing them to run their business and us apply the technology. Consumerization is the future of mobile; consumers are picking how they want it, what device they want to carry it on and how they want to see things. It’s the consumerization of this industry that is driving mobile to be more and more important.

SPN: I’m looking for a good read … any recommendations?

ST:  The Go-Giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea by Bob Burg and John David Mann. It’s a simple, quick book. Everyone gets it, and it matters to everyone. Our whole company picked it up; it’s a great little book.
