Global agtech startups choose Nebraska in new Spur Startup Sandbox Validation Program
Four international startups will be working with University of Nebraska researchers, industry partners and local farmers to test and validate their technologies. The initiative is the brainchild of Ankit Chandra, the founder of Spur Ventures, a UNL-backed agtech support organization.

New AgTech Innovation Map shows Nebraska’s startup ecosystem getting stronger despite few exits
The map, put together by Spur Ventures and The Combine, hopes to guide stakeholders through a rapidly expanding landscape of agtech startups and support organizations. This AgTech startup invented a robot to eliminate one deadly hazard from farming
Grain Weevil was recently named the 2022 NBDC Innovation Business of the Year in recognition of their efforts to eliminate grain bin deaths through the invention of an autonomous robot. The Grain Weevil robot is currently undergoing trials in grain bins in four states as part of its safety certification.
