NMotion powered by gener8tor has announced its latest cohort of startups for its accelerator. The program offers $100,000 investments for 7.5% equity in the selected companies, in addition to 12 weeks of coaching, networking and access to resources to scale.

Five of six startups this year are based in Nebraska. The remaining venture is based out of Colorado.

NMotion Managing Principal Scott Henderson said the application pool was around 350 applicants, which was close  to its largest application round. He described the applicants as the “strongest Nebraska pool” he has seen.

“It’s almost like more people in Nebraska are pointing their energy towards helping startups and supporting startups and encouraging startups,” Henderson said. “And collectively, that means there’s an aggregate of more companies in the game that are moving forward.”

Henderson credited the work of support organizations, university programs and local investors in fostering startups from a variety of sources — especially during NMotion’s pause this year.

In previous reporting, Henderson said NMotion took a pause in hosting a cohort this spring due to being in the middle of raising a new round of funds to support further programming. He said the fall cohort is the “final deployment” of their existing funding.

The NMotion Accelerator Fall 2026 cohort:

• Aqualytics (Omaha): Offers a network of connected smart devices to help utilities executives and property owners with water management. The startup was a finalist in the 2025 Silicon Prairie Startup Week Pitch Competition and is collaborating on regional sustainability initiatives. Led by Derek Gardels.   

• Boon (Denver): Uses artificial intelligence agents to help nonprofits find, apply and track funding opportunities. 

• CityVerse AI (Omaha): Uses AI to help civil engineers and municipal departments compile data, track progress and maintain compliance for projects. The startup progressed to pitching to cities around Nebraska following its co-founders’ participation in the hackathon-style 10-Hour Challenge x JumpStart Challenge last fall. Led by Neal Agarwal and Akash Setti.

• Creevo (Lincoln): Empowers developers to rapidly develop and share game ideas through AI. The startup was one of the recent student-led ventures launched out of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management. Led by Amir Tarkian, Mia Siner, Mikil Foss and Owen Ratgen.

• GapZero Neuro (Ravenna): Helps doctors who treat strokes access the brain more quickly and safely. The medical device startup is based out of the Silicon Prairie Center incubator in Ravenna. Led by Kirk Zeller, Brett Follmer and Dr. Ajit Puri.

• MeetingMD (Gretna): Offers a platform to make it easier for medical physicians and industry vendors to schedule times to meet with one another. Led by Katie and Travis Freeland.

Founders voiced a variety of reasons for why they decided to apply for NMotion. These ranged from facing challenges with raising investments and wanting to learn how to communicate with investors to having a network of coaches and accountability partners. 

Like past cohorts, Henderson took the founders around the Omaha and Lincoln entrepreneurial hubs to showcase local resources, stakeholders and founder stories. 

Leadership behind the Omaha-based startups Quantum Qool and Workshop shared insights on the realities and difficulties that come with scaling a company. These included stories of pivoting products, disagreeing with co-founders on the best paths forward and figuring out how to provide meaningful offerings to potential customers when a solution is still not ready. 

Henderson said NMotion is in the midst of “advanced conversations” with its core investors on how to structure the next fund. He also said he has been talking to other entities in the Nebraska ecosystem about what additional opportunities to offer entrepreneurs, such as pre-accelerator programming. 

Henderson said he sees the NMotion Showcase event scheduled for Nov. 18 as both a celebration of what the current cohort accomplishes in the next few months and the goal for when to announce NMotion’s plans for the next few years.
